Crystal Orb Adventures
A downloadable game for Windows
A fantasy text adventure game in which you don't need to type: you just click on the appropriate phrase in the context menu.
The game world is randomized a bit, so you get different monsters and locations each time. The eventual goal is to have most things procedurally generated.
This is a prototype, so there's not much to do right now. You can buy equipment, explore a bit, fight monsters, find treasure in dungeons. If you explore enough, you find paths to other regions.
There are a lot of placeholders.
The game automatically saves when you rest at the tavern in a town.
I take my inspiration from old ZX Spectrum games like Valhalla and, well, The Crystal Orb.

Added a priest NPC
Revised armours and shields.
Purchase confirmation in shops, and it gives you a bit more information about an object (mostly armour at the moment)
Throughout this revision I will be focusing on non-monster encounters and NPCs.
Should you Donate?
Donations of even small amounts tell me there is interest in the game. If for any reason I reach a milestone in donations, I can take time off my day job and put that time into bringing the game from Prototype to Alpha.
